Let me make a suggestion. All the owners of Junior Outlaw Karts sit down, with Mike listening, and iron out what engine rules to run. No involvement from those who want to do engine work or sell parts. Reputable engine builders could be consulted on what would make these engines competitive with each other. Then if no consensus can be reached, divide the classes. If that will make some parents/grandparents happy. I was not at the meeting, but when Mike posted that AKA will be running IKF clone and predator rules, I assumed this was agreed upon by the entire board/and or members present. Now it seems some have different memories of what was decided. What do the minutes of the meeting say? I was asked to update the 2015 Rule book and get it printed, that is my only involvement in all this. Other than my hope that you all will let the kids go out there and have fun racing each other, and teach them good sportsmanship, whether they come in first or last. Good competitors don't ever lose... they learn.

Hello all,
I am sorry I wasn't able to respond as I was out of town coaching baseball. Here is what we are going to do regarding engines for the Outlaw Cage Kart Engines. We will have a drivers meeting on Saturday. After the drivers meeting we will meet with all the Cage Kart Parents and drivers to discuss the engine program. We will talk to all the parents and make a final decision on what engines we will allow. This will be the final meeting and decision on this. If anyone has any questions please feel free to call me at 602-558-3318.
Thanks Mike Most

Just curious, since when do IKF rules apply to outkaw karts? I dont see "outlaw' mentioned anywhere in the IKF book.

If it is "outlaw" why are we even talking about engine rules?

Look guys,
I said we were going to talk about it at the meeting. The engines you run now out of North Carolina the AKRA I believe that's the lettering for the specs are the same specs as WKA and IKF Clone motors. In the Adult other cage Kart classes there aren't rules except 125CC 200CC and 500CC. I believe in those classes you can do what ever you want to the engine as long as it is a 125CC 200CC or 500CC motor to start. In the kids classes there are engine rules. I am trying to get those rules squared away so we can move on. Lets not make this more difficult than it has to be.
Thanks Mike Most
