Getting information from Joe Torres Jr. about this race. These classes will be running that day May 16: KT100 Heavy, Outlaw Box Stock, Outlaw Jr. Clone, Outlaw Beginner.
Format for the KT 100 class: Team Event, 2 drivers, two 25 lap Main event segments. Drivers will get a practice session each. Each driver will run 10 lap heat race. Team points will be added for starting position in 1st main segment. At end of 25 laps, karts will stop on track, change drivers. They may refuel and change 1 tire if desired. Driver 2 will line up in position of Driver 1 and race another 25 lap segment. Teams may choose which driver runs first. The purse is now up to $750, with the possibility of adding more. Pay 1st - 3rd place. In addition Burris Tires will add $100 to the winners if they are running Burris Tires all around. Trophies will be given also.
We will be announcing the format for the kids Outlaw classes soon. It will be different format and fun, with trophies and prizes. Stay tuned.

All classes will not run. The plan was to run the KT100 class and the Clone class. We have added other classes but probably will not be able to run all classes. Again it was supposed to be KT100 and Clone Kage Karts only to start this event.
Thanks Mike Most

Quick question. Why is this event limited to just those classes? Isn't this supposed to be a fun non points event?

Hi Corrie, It's been an idea of mine for the past few years to change things up for the Kart guys. I wanted to do something different and try and bring some excitement back and try to increase the numbers for the Kart classes. Mike thought it would be a good idea we add the clone class for added racing action. I can't tell you how exciting is to watch the Outlaw classes, so just to let you and anyone else, I didn't mean for this to upset anyone or create any animosity with any group out there.
Thanks, Joe

Thank you for your reply Joe. I was not trying to point fingers, it was just an honest question. The Outlaw class as a whole (Beginner, Box Stock, Clone, Intermediate and Open) all put on a great show. The track is very lucky to have dedicated people that are helping these classes grow. The only way the classes will grow is to get them more action. thanks for all that you do for the track.

It's been great to see all the growth of the club this year with the Outlaw classes to the Bikes and the Kart classes. We do need dedicated people to help out grow this club and make it enjoyable for everyone. I love this sport and will do as much as I can to help this club. I know together with everyone's help we will do that. Thanks for everyone who has been apart of this clubs success this year and in the past.
Thanks, Joe

Corrie,
The track is happy to have all the people who come out and race not just the Kage Karts. Lets get that out in the open. And all the karts should be thankful for the track being there for everyone to run. And give a great thanks to everyone who helps there. Like Carolyn Joell Ted Aaron Scott Bobbi Kevin Ray Joe Torres and especially Denise and her whole family. Pointing fingers never gets you anywhere and patting yourself on the back is the last thing I can tolerate. With that being said I will not be at this race as my daughter graduates college that weekend. So you guys can figure it out. Sorry Joe but something came up and I can not make it that day. I am working on a race director for the night. Maybe your Joe Sr. Can step in for me for the day. As for the schedule and the Karts that are racing remember you are running a night race for this show and it is a long show. KT 100 running 100 laps and Clone Kage Karts running 2 heats 40 lap main. Negativity gets you no where!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Mike Most

No worries Mike, like you said we have so many people working together we will get it worked out. Plus, I wouldn't let you go to the race that day anyway if your daughter was graduating. Family comes first Mike! I appreciate your support and help with this event. It will be a big success!

Joe has asked that I mention we would like the teams to come up with a Team Name. We are planning on having fun with that. The purse for the KT100's is growing, now up to $800 total, with a few more prospective sponsors lined up. !! The format running KT's and only the Junior Outlaw karts will allow enough time I believe to make this a special event. Joe, Mike and I have discussed a format for the kids with 1 heat and a 2 segment main event, involving an inversion of some type. Details need to be ironed out, like number of laps and how to invert. I have gotten several suggestions on awards for the kids. In order to have time for this special race, we cannot run all classes of karts, or Outlaws. This is truly for fun and I hope everyone will come out with a positive attitude and enjoy the night.
